According to Deep Tide TechFlow news on July 11, Nicholas Truglia, who was sentenced to 18 months in prison for participating in a $22 million Crypto Assets theft scheme, has had his sentence increased to 12 years for failing to fulfill his promise to compensate the victims, as reported by Bloomberg.

U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein made a new ruling on Thursday, determining that Truglia intentionally violated the agreement to pay nearly $20.4 million in restitution. Previously, Truglia had been sentenced to 18 months in prison for his involvement in a Crypto Assets theft case, but after failing to pay restitution to the victims as promised, the court significantly increased his sentence.
